How to Treat Keratosis Pilaris!

What is Keratosis Pilaris…

Keratosis Pilaris is a very common skin condition that affects people of all ages and skin types. They are the small, rough and red bumps that appear around the hair follicles on mainly the upper arms, legs, buttocks, and sometimes cheeks.

How to treat Keratosis Pilaris…

At The Laser Lounge, we have a range of treatments to assist with this specific skin condition! These treatments include:

DMK Alkaline Wash

The DMK Alkaline wash is designed to eat away at protein (which is what skin is made of). This treatment will break down the dry bumpy spots on the skin! It is always followed by a DMK Enzyme Mask, which improves the skin texture also.

Glycolic Peels

The Glycolic Peel, which ranges in strength helps to exfoliate and smooth out the skin’s texture. When at home, the DMK Micro Peel and Hydra Louffa wash help maintain your smoother skin over a longer period of time! A series of 6 to 8 weekly treatments are recommended depending on the severity of the skin condition.

Salicylic Peels

This peel is stronger than a Glycolic, and works on the top layer of the dermis to break down the build up of dead skin. A Glycolic can be layered over the top to intensify the treatment, and creates a better treatment outcome! Again, 6 to 8 weekly treatments are recommended depending on the skin’s condition.
