Cosmetic Injectables Process

Treating wrinkles can be a lunch time procedure. We best recommend to book in a consultation with our Cosmetic Physicians, advising your facial concerns prior to your appointment. All clients will be required to fill out a confidential consultation form and must disclose their medical history. Whether your concerns may be on the top part of your face caused by overactive muscles or the bottom part caused by loss of collagen, injectable muscle relaxants and dermal fillers may be suitable to best treat the area for faster and longer lasting wrinkle reduction results. You can expect to see results 3 to 5 days post treatment, and the treated area may last between 3 to 4 months (in most cases).

How do injectable muscle relaxants work?

Injectable muscle relaxants work by temporarily blocking the signal between the nerve and the muscle which limits the amount of movement in the muscle for 3 to 4 months (in most cases). Normal muscular movement is restored once the injected product has worn off. The result of the treatment is a more youthful, refreshed appearance with fewer wrinkles and lines. It is also an option to consider injectable muscle relaxants prior to deep lines forming on the face. These treatments can also be an option to consider for preventative measures. In particular, those who genetically are more prone to deep lines may opt to treat the areas in the early stages to avoid wrinkles spreading.
